The fuzzy blotch in the middle was an amazing two-inch-long spider, with brown banded legs and an improbably orange body; while trying to swat the clouds of mosquitoes, I almost stepped in a huge black puddle, while navigating around which I almost walked straight into the web of the spider, while vainly trying to take an auto-focus picture of which I almost backed into a rather cranky-looking snake; I put away the camera for a while
