When the Latta brothers were bankers in Minnesota
This ten dollar bill was issued by the First National Bank of Crosby, MN and is dated August 23, 1910. It is signed by S.G. Latta (Sheridan Gorton Latta). It is the first bill Grandad signed, number 1, as the first cashier of the new bank. He had it framed and hanging on his wall when I was a child.
This five dollar bill was issued by the Merchants National Bank of Wadena. The series is dated May 15, 1893 and this bill is signed by F.F. Latta, Cashier. The detail of the signature is in the middle and the back of the bill is at the bottom. Uncirculated, probably the first bill Frank signed.
